Split Pea Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups of Split Peas
  • 8 Cups of Hot Water
  • 1 to 2 lbs of Hambone
  • 1 Garlic Clove, grated
  • 1 Medium Onion, grated
  • 1 Stick of Celery Tops
  • 1 Tbsp of Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients, boil, and simmer for one hour and 15 minutes or until Split Peas are soft.
Put through a coarse strainer.
Reheat and serve
