Strawberry Cheescake Torte

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup sour cram
  • 1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract (divided)
  • 1 tbsp plus 1/4 tsp almond extract (divided)
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • 4 tbsp sugar (divided)
  • 1 angel food cake, torn into bite-size pieces
  • 2 quarts fresh strawberrites, cleaned, stemmed and thinly sliced

Preparation

Step 1

1. In large bowl, cream together the cream cheese and powdered sugar.
2. Add sour cream, 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/4 tsp almond extracts.
3. Set aside.
4. In another bowl, whip the whipping cream with 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tbsp of sugar.
5. Carefully fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture.
6. Now carefully fold in angel food pieces.
7. Combine strawberries and remaining 3 tbsp suag and 2 tbsp almond extract.
8. In large triffle bowl or serving bowl, layer ingredients in order:
a. one third of strawberries
b. one half of cake mixture
c. another third strawberries
d. remaining of cake mixture
e. top with remaining strawberries
9. Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.
