Strawberry Pretzel Surprise

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 2 C crushed pretzels (4 C uncrushed)
  • 6 T butter, melted
  • 3 T sugar
  • Filling:
  • 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen whipped topping
  • 2 pkg (3 oz each) srawberry jello
  • 2 C boiling water
  • 1 pkg (16 oz) frozen strawberries, thawed

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat over to 350 degrees.
2. Crust: Mix together pretzels, butter and sugar. Spray 13 X 9 pan with cooking spray. Put crust mixture in bottom. Bake at 350 for 10 min. Cool.
3. Filling and Topping: Beat cream cheese and sugar til smooth. Fold in thawed topping. Spread mixture over cooled crust.
4. Dissolve jello in boiling water. Stir in thawed strawberries. Place over larger bowl of ice water and refrigerate, stirring constantly til starts to thicken.
5. Spoon strawberry mixture over cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate for 4 hrs.
