Beef and Broccoli Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1/4 C chopped onion
  • 3 T flour
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 1/4 t garlic salt
  • 1 1/4 C milk
  • 1 – 3 oz pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1 eaten egg
  • 1 10 oz pkg frozen chopped broccoli cooked and drained
  • 4 oz Monterey Jack Cheese sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Brown beef and onion drain off fat – stir in flour salt and garlic. Add 1¼ Cups milk and the softened cream cheese. Cook until smooth and bubbly. Stir about 1 C of the mixture into the beaten egg and return mixture to the skillet.
Cook over medium heat until the mixture is thickened 1-2 minute Stir in cooked chopped broccoli. Set aside.
Prepare plane pastry for double crust pie. Spoon mixture and add the top crust. Crimp edges to seal cut holes for steam to escape.
Brush top crust with a little milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes
Let stand 10 minutes. Serve
