Ingredients
- 1/2 c light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c butter
- 2 T. light corn syrup
- 3/4 c chopped pecan
- 1 loaf french bread, sliced into 2 inch pieces
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 c half&half
- 1 t. maple syrup
Preparation
Step 1
Stir together first 4 ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until butter melts and mixture is smooth. Pour into lightly greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Place french toast in a single layer over syrup
Whisk together eggs and next 2 ingredients: pour over bread. Cover and chill for 8 hours or overnight.
In the morning, preheat oven to 350*
Remove from fridge 30 minutes before baking.
Bake for 45 min.
Serve immediately. Additional syrup can be added but is not necessary.
