Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted or salted butter cut into pieces
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
In a large suacepan melt butter over meduim heat. Add the suge and cook, stirring occasionally until the sugar begins to caramelize, then turns dark amber and begins to foam a bit.
Remove from heat and add heavy cream.
Stir until smooth, then add vanilla and salt. Let cool, taste add more salt if needed.
