Brunch Egg Delight
Egg substitute (equivalent to 6-8 eggs) can be used in place of the eggs.
- 12-16 slices of bread
- 2 C. cubed ham
- 2 C. grated cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 3 C. milk
- 1/2 t. dry mustard
- 1/2 t. salt
- 2 C. crushed corn flakes
- 1/2 C. melted butter or margarine
Preparation time 15mins
Cooking time 60mins
Trim the crust off the bread. Lay 6-8 slices of bread in a 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle the ham and cheese over the bread.
Cover with 6-8 more slices of bread.
Beat together the eggs, milk, mustard, and salt.
Pour over the bread.
Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
Bring the egg dish to room temperature. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Mix together the corn flakes and melted butter or margarine.
Spread over egg dish during the last 15 minutes of baking.
