Coconut Pecan Filling and Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 C sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 C sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 # (1 stick) butter
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 1/3 C flaked coconut
  • 1 C chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens- about 12 minutes. Remove from heat. Add coconut and pecans. Beat until smooth and of spreading consistency.
