Slow Cooker Cheese Dip
PREP TIME: 15 minutes
COOK TIME: 4 hours
SERVINGS: 2 Quarts
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 ground sausage
- 1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 jar mild salsa
- Tortilla chips
1. In a large skillet, cook beef and sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain meat well. Transfer meat to a 3 or 4 quart slow cooker. Stir in cheese and salsa.
2. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally. Serve with tortilla chips.
Note: If you're planning on serving slow cooker cheese dip at a holiday party or family get together, make it ahead and freeze it. Then all you need to do is thaw and reheat it.
