Bisquick Velvet Crumb Cake

I've been looking for this Bisquick coffee cake recipe. I used to make it in the 1960’s. There was another one for Velvet Crumb Cake. Anyone know that one? As kids we used a topping of butter, cornflakes, brown sugar and it was out of this world.

Ingredients
- I think this is the Velvet Crumb Cake you are looking for:
- 1 1/2 cups of Bisquick mix
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp shortening
- 1 tsp vanilla
- HONEY CRISP TOPPING (recipe below)
Preparation
Step 1
Blend all ingredients and mix on low for 1/2 minute. Pour batter into greased and floured pan, 8×8x2-inch. Bake 30 to 35 min at 350. While warm spread topping.
HONEY CRISP TOPPING:
Mix 3 Tablespoons butter, 1/3 cup honey, 1/4 cup coconut, 1/2 cup Wheaties or Corn Flakes and 1 can small crushed pineapple drained.
Mix all ingredients together and spread on warm cake. Yum yum.
