Ingredients
- 6 Medium Onions ((Diced)
- 3 Medium Onions (Sliced)
- 1 Stick Butter
- 6 Tbsp Flour
- 2 Quarts Water
- 10-12 Beef Bouillon Cubes

Step 1
Chop 6 medium onions and slice 3 more onions. Melt the butter in a large pot. Add all the onions and simmer until the onions are transparent. Use a medium to low heat and stir frequently. When transparent, add the flour and stir it all in well. Pour in the 2 quarts of water and add the beef bouillon. Stir in the water a couple of cups at the time and keep stirring, so the flour doesn’t get lumpy.
Simmer for 45 minutes. Serve with French Bread and some Parmesan Cheese on top. You can also substitute some Swiss Cheese for the Parmesan , put into ovenproof soup bowls and put in the oven to melt the cheese under the broiler.
