Ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks butter (melted)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 4 cups flour
  • 7 teaspoons baking powder
  • FILLING:
  • 1 32oz jar grape jelly
  • 2 lbs ground walnuts
  • 4 tablespoons cocooa powder
  • zest of 1 large orange

Preparation

Step 1

Beat wet ingredients together.

Add wet to dry and knead until a dough forms



We roll the dough, fill it and cut it into mezzaluna shapes with a ravioli cutter. Brush a beaten egg on the tops and sprinkle rainbow non-pareils on top. Bake about 15 minutes @ 375.
