Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 C butter
  • 2 C sugar
  • 4 egg yolks, beaten well (save whites)
  • 1 C sour cream
  • 3 C sifted cake flour
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1/4 t baking soda
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 4 egg whites, beaten stiff

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Alternate adding dry ingredients with sour cream. Beat. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
bake 1 hour in greased tube pan at 350 degrees.
