Peanut Sponge Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 C sugar
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 2 t vanilla (or almond)
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 C milk
  • 2 C flour
  • 2 t b powder
  • powdered sugar frosting (w/almond flavoring)
  • chopped peanuts

Preparation

Step 1

1. Beat eggs til light. Beat in sugar, salt and flavoring.
2. Melt butter in milk and add to egg mixture. Beat.
3. Sift flour and b powder together and beat into mixture.
4. Immediately pour into greased and floured 9 X 13 pan. Bake 25-35 min at 350. Cool.
5. Cut and frost with p sugar frosting (almond flavoring). Roll in chopped peanuts.
