Fried Apples

Ingredients

  • 3 T bitter
  • 5 large Granny Smith apples, peeled & sliced
  • 2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 t apple pie spice or cinnamon & allspice

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter over medium-high heat: add apples and remaining ingredients. Saute 15 to 20 minutes or until apples are tender.

Variation: omit spices, after melting butter add 2 large sweet onions sliced & saute 5 minutes. Add apples, brn sugar and 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar & saute 15 to 20 minutes or until apples are tender ~
