Beef and cheese lasagna

  • 1 pound of Lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound of lean ground beef
  • 1/4-cup minced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3 (8 oz) cans tomato puree
  • 1 bunch basil
  • 1/4 C diced carrots
  • 1-teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1-teaspoon oregano
  • 1 1/2 cup ricotta
  • 2 cups Mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation time 30mins
Cooking time 60mins


Step 1

Cook ground beef to a golden brown color and set aside for later use.
Sweat onion then add tomato puree, basil, carrots, garlic powder, and oregano.
Let simmer then puree.
In a baking dish, layer 1/3rd of lasagna noodles, cooked beef, sauce and chesses.
Repeat layers twice
Bake covered at 350° oven for 45 min then uncover for 10 minutes.
Let stand for 8 to 10 minutes before cutting and serving
