Ingredients
- Dough:
- 2 lbs. prunes
- (pitted)
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 cup sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 lb. crisco
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- Flour - enough to make a soft dough
- (9 cups)
- 2 tsp. baking powder

Step 1
Boil prunes with enough water to cover them. Boil slowly until swollen and soft. Do not drain. Mash prunes in juice. Add sugar, lemon juice and salt.
Cool.
Dough:
Mix together and cream brown sugar, white sugar and crisco. Add eggs, milk vanilla and salt. Add flour and baking powder.
Spread dough onto a greased pan thinly . Prick with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. 5-6 layers. Spread prunes on when a layer comes out of the oven. Ice with PINK icing.
