By NicoleS
This sauce couldn't be easier to make. Use it drizzled over ice cream or chocolate waffles.

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup (maybe try more)
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
Combine the sugar and corn syrup with 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then mix in the cocoa powder and salt. Simmer until smooth, 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the vanilla and let cool. (The syrup will keep for up to 3 weeks. Cover and refrigerate.)
Makes about 1 cup.
