Ingredients
- 1 recipe Oil Pastry (see below)
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1 T flour
- 1 t apple pie spice
- 4 medium cooking apples, cored and sliced
- 1 medium pear, cored and sliced
- 1 15 oz can apricot halves in light syrup, rinsed, drained and sliced (or use fresh apricots OR 1 cup blueberries)
Preparation
Step 1
Mix ingredients together and place in 9 in greased pie plate.
Top fruit mixture with pastry.
Place pie plate on foil lined baking sheet. Cover edge with foil and bake for 30 minutes, remove foil, back for 10-15 min until apples are tender and filling is bubbly. Cool about 1 hr.
Oil pastry:
In bowl, stir together 3/4 C flour, 1/4 C whole wheat flour, and 1/4 t salt. Add 1/4 C milk, 3 T cooking oil all at once. Stir lightly until moistened. Form into ball and roll.
