Italian Sausage Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 3 cups water
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cups turkey or chicken stuffing mix
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

In large skillet, brown sausage over medium-high heat for 8 to 10 minutes, or until no pink remains, stirring to break up sausage. Drain and set aside.

In large soup pot, bring water and butter to boil. Stir in stuffing mix, cover, and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in sausage and Parmesan cheese then serve.
