Taco Layer Dip

Barb's - a Family favorite - just don't serve it as an appetizer before a big meal!

Ingredients

  • First Layer
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • Second Layer
  • 2 Avocados
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • dashes of Tabsco
  • 2-3 T. salsa
  • Third Layer
  • 6 T. sour cream
  • 4 T. mayo
  • 1 sm. minced onion
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Tabasco
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • Four th Layer
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar
  • Center Circle
  • Black olives - chopped fine
  • Middle Circle
  • Green onions - chopped
  • Outside Circle
  • 3 Tomatoes chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Use large platter or plate and serve with nacho chips. To simplify, use one bowl for prep and wash out between layers. Take out all spices to start and chop 1 med-large onion finely to use for several layers.
