Ingredients
- 1 lb. Greenshell mussels on the half shell
- 1 tbsp. EVOO
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp. finely minced ginger
- 2 green onions, finely minced
- 1 - 2 dried peppers, minced
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. mirin or sherry
- 1/2 tbsp. black bean sauce
- 2 tbsp. chicken stock
- 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
Preparation
Step 1
* Steam mussels in steamer over simmering water for 4 minutes, or in microwave according to package directions.
* Meanwhile, heat oil in a small pan. Add the garlic, ginger, scallions and chile and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 minute.
* To serve, plate the mussesls and spoon the sauce over each.
