  • FILLING:
  • 1 pkg. (18-1/4 oz.) German chocolate cake mix
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pkg. (8oz.) cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips

Step 1

1. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, oil, and egg. Set aside 1 cup for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture into a 13-in. X 9-in. baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-13 minutes or until set.

2. For filling, in a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg; beat well. Spread over crust. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and reserved crumb mixture.

3. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until set. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Store in the refrigerator.
