Economical to make and it's great on steaks, fish and chicken too!

I have never used the original, so I can't compare, but this is quit good. I have used it on Sweet Potato Fries, and on salmon filets cooked on the Foreman grill, and both were delicious. Now I guess I better go buy a steak to try it on :)

Very tasty and flavorful seasoning! Thanks Bella!

I did a side-by-side taste test and this could be as close to a dead ringer as they come. The only difference is that I believe the original uses a coarse-grained salt, but my steak couldn't tell the difference!

I thought I had McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning in the spice cabinet - but I couldn't find it anywhere and needed it for My Favorite Burgers #240113. I found this copycat recipe, make it, and was very pleased with the result. It smells just like the original (or just how I remember the original smelling - I haven't used it since last grilling season!). Easy to put together, with simple ingredients that I had on hand. It was so easy, in fact, that I'm not going to replace the McCormick's version - I'll just use this instead. Thanks for a great recipe!
