Honey Spice Snaps

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 t soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 t ginger
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 1/4 t cloves
  • 3/4 c shortening
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 1 unbeaten egg

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour, soda, salt & spices. Gradually add brown sugar to shortening, creaming well. Blend in honey and egg; beat well. Add dry ingred gradually, mixing well. Chill dough, if desired. Shape rounded teas. into balls; dip in water then sugar. Place sugar side up on ungreased baking sheet bake 350* 12-15 min
