Crockpot Pulled pork

  • 4 lbs of pork roast (shoulder or butt are good)
  • 1 18 oz bottle of your favorite barbecue suce
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 C of ginger ale



Step 1

Slice one onion and place in crockpot
Then put in the roast and cover with the other onion, sliced
Add the ginger ale
Cover this and let this cook on LOW for approx 12 hours
Remove the meat, strain and save the onion getting rid of all liquid
Then with your hands, shred the meat, discarding an remaining fat, bones or skin
Most of the fat will have melted away
Return the shredded meat and the onions to the crockpot, stir in barbecue sauce
Continue to cook for approximately 6 hours on LOW
