Ingredients
- 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9x13 glass baking dish. Microwave chocolate and butter on high for 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Blend in sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and nuts. Spread in baking dish. Bake 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Do not overbake ! Cool in pan. Cut into 24 squares.
White Chocolate Peppermint Brownies :
After cutting cooled brownies into serving pieces, drizzle with 4 squares melted white chocolate, and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
Cappucino Brownies :
Prepare as per above, except using 4 eggs and 1 1/4 cups flour. Add 3 Tablespoons instant coffee with eggs and vanilla. Omit nuts. After spreading batter in pan, beat 8 ounces soft cream cheese with 1/3 cup sugar, 1 egg, 2 Tablespoons flour, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Spoon over batter, and swirl to marbelize. Bake 40 minutes.
