Apple German-Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 21 oz can apple pie filling
  • 18 oz German-chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup miniature chocolate-chips
  • can of whipped-chocolate frosting

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 baking pan. Chop the apple pie filling into 1/4" chunks in a blender or food processor. In a large bowl, combine the apple pie filling, the German-chocolate cake mix, and 3 eggs. Beat with a mixer at medium for 5 minutes. Pour mixture into the baking pan. Sprinkle with the chopped walnuts and miniature chocolate chips. Bake 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a rack, then frost and cut into serving pieces.
