Bourbon Beef Tenderloins (Paula Deen)

  • 1 c bourbon
  • 3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c fresh lemon juice
  • 2 T soy saue
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 1/2 lb beef tenderloin, trimmed
  • Steakhouse Sauce (separate recipe)



Step 1

In heavy duty resealable plastic bag, combine bourbon & next four ingredients; add beef, press air out of bag & seal. Turn bag several times to distribute marinade. Place bag in lg bowl & chill 1 1/2 hrs turning occasionally.

Grill covered, grill lid closed for 30-35 min until 135 degrees or desired doneness. Rotate beef 1/4 turn every 5 min. Remove from grill, cover loosely with foil & let stand 10 min. Cut beef into 1/4 in thick slices. Serve with Steakhouse Sauce. ( separate recipe in sauce section)
