Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 8 oz sliced white buttom mushrooms (I used one can)
- 4 oz light cream cheese, cubed
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles or rice
Preparation
Step 1
Brown meat with onions, garlic, salt and pepper on medium high heat until cooked. Drain excess grease. Add mushrooms and continue cooking till they are soft and browned. Add the cream cheese and let it melt 2-3 minutes - stirring in. Mix gently. Add the flour to the beef broth and whisk until no lumps. Add to the meet mixture and cook till bubbly and thickened. Stir in sour cream and add salt and pepper to taste. Pour over noodles or rice.
