Chocolate Ganache (Barefoot Contessa)

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces good semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules

Preparation

Step 1

Cook the chocolate chips, heavy cream, and instant coffee in the top of a double boiler over simmering water until smooth and warm, stirring occasionally.

NOTE: This also makes an excellent frosting for a cake or cupcakes. Just cool to room temperature, and whip on high in a stand mixer, until smooth and creamy.
