Ingredients
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons oil
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Generously butter or oil the bottom and sides of a cast iron or heavy baking pan. Heat butter in oven.
Add the milk and eggs (you can use 3 egg whites and 1 egg) to the flour mixture and beat until smooth. mix until smooth. Add oil.
Pour into pan and bake for 25 minutes at 425. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for an additional 10 minutes,
Serve hot with lemon and powdered sugar. You can also serve with homemade apples;
Peel and core and slice the apples. Sweeten with honey and or/sugar to taste. Add Cinnamon and lemon zest to taste. Add water to apples and bring to a boil over medium heat until apples are tender. You can use arrowroot to thicken.
