Ingredients
- Dressing:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon onion juice
- 1 cup salad oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 1 bag small spinach leafs
- 1 or 2 cans mandarin oranges
- handfull of sliced mushrooms
- 1 sliced purple onion
- 1/2 stick butter
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup walnuts

Step 1
Dressing:
combine all ingredients except poppy seeds. Beat with wisk until thick, then add poppy seeds. Cover and store in fridge until ready to use. YOU WILL ONLY USE HALF OF THIS DRESSING ON THIS SALAD
Cook butter and sugar until carmelized. Add walnuts. Stir until thick, then pour onto a cookie sheet. When it hardens like peanut brittle, break apart and smash into small pieces. Sprinkle on salad. Add dressing before serving
