Cinnamon Chicken

Cinnamon Chicken 1 Picture


  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon, cut in half.
  • 1 tablespoon of butter (3 tablespoons butter for option 2)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil (no oil for option 2)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 apples pealed

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 F
Peal and slice apples and set aside in bowl.
Mix sugar and cinnamon together.
Salt and pepper the chicken breasts to taste.
Sprinkle sugar cinnamon mixture on chicken ( reserve 1/4 cup for the apples).

Heat oven ready frying pan on medium high heat.
Add butter and olive oil to fry pan.
When oil mixture is hot fry chicken, 3 minutes per side.
Next put chicken into the center of a 9X14 baking dish along with the apples around the edges.
Sprinkle the remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture on the apples.
Pour any oil/butter mixture over chicken.
Squeeze the lemon juice over the chicken.
Put chicken and apples in the oven and bake 10-15 minutes ti chicken is done.

Arrange chicken breasts in a 9X14 baking dish.
Squeeze lemon juice over chicken.
Drizzle melted butter over chicken. (may need more butter)
Bake uncovered for 45 to 50 minutes.
Remove from oven, arrange apples around chicken.
Sprinkle the remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture on the apples.
Return chicken to oven and bake 20 minutes more.
