Ingredients

  • A large handful of flat leaf parsley (mix in any other leafy fresh herbs, like mint, sage, arugula or oregano)
  • 3/4 cup almonds
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 pound angel hair pasta
  • A goodly amount of Parmesan cheese
  • A pinch or two of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • A small pat of butter (optional)
  • A tangy squeeze or two of lemon

Preparation

Step 1

1. Boil and salt water. Chop up broccoli and stems. Place pasta and broccoli in water. Boil according to pasta package directions.

2. In a small pan, heat up the olive oil; add the garlic and gently sauté until golden. Add the butter and melt. Take off the heat.

3. Drain pasta well, then toss with the garlic mixture and Parmesan cheese.
