Caramel Corn(Mom)

Ingredients

  • 10 quarts popcorn
  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup margarine
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Melt margarine, add brown sugar and syrup. Bring to boil, stirring. Let boil for 5 minutes without stirring. Remove From heat and add baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn. Mix well, until popcorn is coated. Bake at 225 F for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes.

If you want to add salted peanuts you may. I usually
just throw in a couple of handfuls.
