Italian Sausage and Cheese Calzone

Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced mushrooms
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves, crushed
- 8 ounces Ricotta cheese
- 1 Tbsp cornmeal
- 1 package (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust dough
- Prepared pizza sauce

Step 1
Heat oven to 400. Brown sausage with onion in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes until sausage is no longer pink, breaking into 3/4 inch crumbles. Add mushrooms and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until mushrooms are tender. Pour off drippings. Off heat stir in oregano and ricotta cheese.
Sprinkle cornmeal evenly over rimmed baking sheet. Unroll pizza dough lengthwise on baking sheet, straightening edges of dough if necessary. Spoon sausage mixture over long half of dough, leaving 1 inch border on 3 sides. Gently lift and pull top half of dough over filling to enclose; pinch edges to seal.
Bake in 400 oven 15 to 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Cut crosswise into 8 slices. Serve with warmed pizza sauce for dipping.
