Pecan Tassies

Ingredients

  • Pastry:
  • 1 pkg cream cheese
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 C flour
  • Filling:
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 C brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs soft butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • dash salt
  • 2/3 C coarsely broken pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Pastry:
Soften cream cheese and butter to room temperature. Blend well, stir in flour. Chill 1 hour. Roll into 2 dozen ½ inch balls. Shape in tiny muffin tins.

Filling:
Beat until smooth. Put pecans in shell. Cover with mixture. Crumble a few pecans before removing from pan.

Bake for 25 minutes. Cool before removing from pan.
