Escalloped Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cabbage coarsely shredded
  • 2 qt water
  • 1/4 c salt
  • 1/4 sugar
  • 5 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 1 c milk
  • 1 c buttered cracker crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Boil cabbage 4 minutes in water, salt, and sugar. Drain. Combine other ingredients for sauce. Pour over cabbage. Sprinkle crackers over top. Bake 325 degree oven for 45 minutes.
