Ingredients
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup almond milk, or sub another milk
- 1/2 teaspoon truvia, or sub another sweetener
- 1/2 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoons dry brownie mix (or additional 1 teaspoon cocoa powder)
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- Optional: small handful of miniature chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
In a small bowl, whisk together the applesauce, vanilla, milk, truvia, cocoa powder, and dry brownie mix until combined.
Stir in the oats.
Place into a tighly re-sealable jar or tupperware in the fridge overnight.
In the morning, top with miniature chocolate chips and stir throughout. This is optional but makes these "double-chocolate." For a healthier option, you could use dark chocolate chips.
I enjoy these oats cold, but if desired you can put them in the microwave for about 30 or so seconds.
