Beef and Pork Chopped Suey

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork shoulder (or other boneless pork) cubed (do not use tenderloin)
  • 1 lb boneless beef short rib cubed (or round steak)
  • 1 can creamed mushroom soup
  • 2 beef bullion cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups diced celery
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp molasses
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts with liquid
  • 1/2 lb sliced fresh mushrooms or 1 15 oz can mushroom stems and pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Accent to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Brown and fry in pressure cooker both cubed meats with salt, pepper, and Accent.

Add all remaining ingredients except water and stir to combine. Add water till mixture is consistancy of thick cream soup. If using fresh mushrooms do not add too much water as mushrooms will release a lot of liquid as they cook.

Pressure cook 25 minutes at top pressure of cooker.

After removing pressure cooker lid add flour or Wondra to thicken if necessary.

Serve with white rice.
