Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2/3 cup water
- 2 cups canned pumpkin (1 small can)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp each cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg (or 3 tsp pumpkin pie spice)
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 3.5 cups flour (or 437.5 grams, if, like me, you can never remember which way you're really supposed to measure flour!)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to Oven 300F
This recipe makes two large loaves or three small ones (and is particularly good with a light glaze, orange is my favorite)
Mix the dry ingredients all together.
Put all the wet ingredients into a mixing bowl except the cooking oil and water.
Alternate the wet and the oil and water into the dry ingredients.
When it's all mixed together put the batter into your pans (floured, lined at the bottom with parchment if you have some)
Bake for 1.5 hours, or until, you know, done.
