Ingredients
- Onions chopped 1 medium sized
- Tomato chopped 3 medium sized
- Paneer cubed 1.5 cups (or as desired)
- Green chillies 1
- Chilli powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Ginger minced 2 tsp
- Kasuri Methi 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1 tsp
- Cream/thick milk 1/2 cup
- Butter 2 tablespoon
Preparation
Step 1
1) Grind together tomato and ginger.
2) Heat the butter in a pan and add onions & green chillies and saute until it becomes translucent
3) Add the tomato paste and cook. Add more water if required
4) Add chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt and bring it to a boil
5) Close the pan and cook in a medium flame until the butter/oil separates out
6) Meanwhile slightly fry the paneer in a tawa
7) Add Kasuri methi leaves ad mix well
8) Finally add the milk/cream and the fried paneer
Notes:
Immerse the panneer is hot water to 5 minutes to make it soft
If no cream is available, evaporated milk can also be added
