Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs. lean ground beef
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- ½ medium onion diced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- ½ cup diced green or red peppers
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- ¼ cup tomato ketchup
- ½ cup Heinz chili Sauce
- 1 cup tomato sauce
Preparation
Step 1
Season ground beef with cumin and chili powder; add salt and pepper to taste.
Saute’ ground beef in an oiled skillet until meat is fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set aside. Heat additional oil in the same skillet and saute’ onion, garlic and pepper for 4 minutes.
Combine vegetables with ground beef. Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, chili sauce and tomato sauce. Reduce heat to medium and cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
Serve with hamburger buns, topped with shredded cheese and Heinz tomato ketchup.
Serves 4 to 6.
