The BEST Cream Cheese Frosting

By

This cream cheese frosting is truly the sweetest, smoothest, most succulent frosting you will ever try. Perfect with Zucchini Cupcakes or Carrot Cake! Recipe can be doubled.

MY NOTES: This is so smoooooth and delicious. I used it on carrot cake. It's a keeper!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 package Cream Cheese (4 Oz.)
  • 1/2 stick Unsalted Butter (Room Temperature)
  • 2 cups Confectioner's Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Step 1

Add all ingredients to large bowl and mix by hand until mostly combined. Grab handheld mixer and beat on medium speed for about one minute, or until you get a light, creamy consistency. You can use immediately or refrigerate. This will frost an 8 or 9- inch square cake.

But please stick your finger right in that bowl and sample some first… you will be smitten!!

REVIEWS:

This cream cheese frosting worked perfectly on my batch of PW cinnamon rolls- yum! The frosting was very creamy, still easy to spread (especially on hot rolls), and not overly sweet. I threw the cream cheese and butter in the Kitchen Aid mixer first, then added the vanilla and finally the powdered sugar in 1 cup increments- with perfectly smooth results. Thank you for posting this recipe!

Yum – I just made this frosting for a chocolate cake. I mixed in some blackberries at the end….wow….this IS good frosting. Thanks for the super recipe!

Very good! It wasn’t quite as thick as I had hoped, and it was a touch too sweet for me, but still very tasty.
