Ingredients
- 4 NY strip steaks, about 3/4 inch thick
- 4-6 garlic cloves, peeled and cut into slivers
- 1/4 Cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 Tablespoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1
Preheat outdoor grill to medium high.
With the tip of a pairing knife, cut about 6-8 slits into each steak and insert a sliver of garlic into each slit. Combine the oil, lemon zest, and seasoning and rub mixture over the surface of the steaks, working the garlic into filled slits.
Grill steaks, approx 6-8 minutes for medium rare. (2-3 minutes per side)
Place on platter, tent with foil and rest for 5 minutes. Place round of gorgonzola butter on top of each steak when serving.
