  • 2 cups Butter
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 cups Sliced Almonds
  • 8 oz chocolate
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds



Step 1

Melt butter and cook over high heat until sugar is melted and it looks "floury" add sliced almonds and continue stirring constantly over high heat until turns tan in color, the darker the color the harder the candy is. Immediately pour out onto cookie sheet with sides (jelly roll pan) spread evenly. Spread half of the chocolate over one side and sprinkle with ground almonds, let cool and harden then turn out of pan and spread chocolate and almonds on other side and let harden. Store in airtight container.
