Grains: Granola

Ingredients

  • 1 large box Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
  • 2 cups sunflower nuts
  • 2 cups sesame seeds
  • 2 cups wheat germ
  • 2 cups wheat bran
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 2-4 t cinnamon
  • 2 cups honey
  • 2 cups oil

Preparation

Step 1

Mix well (with hands) all dry ingredients with oil and honey (warmed in microwave).
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes and stir.
Bake another 20 minutes and stir.
Reduce heat to 250 degrees, bake 15 minutes and stir.
Bake another 15 minutes and stir.
Reduce heat to 200 degrees, bake 25 minutes and stir.
Make sure that the oats are browned well.
Turn oven off and let sit until cool.
Fluff with hands.
