  • 8 oz uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef -- cooked with salt and garlic
  • 30 oz spaghetti sauce
  • 1 lg egg, lightly beaten
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 T dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional pepperoni for top

Preparation

Step 1

Cook noodles and drain.
Brown ground beef and drain.
Combine egg and next five ingredients.
Spread 1/2 cup meat sauce in lightly oiled 9 X 13 dish.
Layer 1/2 noodles, 1/2 ricotta mixture, 1/3 mozzarella cheese, 1/2 meat sauce. Repeat layers ending with sauce. Save last 1/3 mozzarella. Top with pepperoni if desired. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Add remainder of mozzarella cheese and bake another 15 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
