Ingredients

  • 1 box ziti noodles
  • 1 lb sausage, sliced
  • 1 jar (28oz) chunky veggie spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can Italian diced tomatoes
  • 1 jar sliced mushrooms
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 carton ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cook pasta as directed.
2. Drain pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water.
3. Mix spaghetti sauce, sliced sausage, ricotta cheese, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms and reserved 1/2 cup cooking water in large bowl.
4. Add pasta and 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese to bowl; mix lightly.
5. Spoon into 9×13 baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
6. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
7. Cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes at 350.
8. Uncover and bake additional 10 minutes.
